I want to come and visit Israel, is it safe as far as EMF is concerned?

Q – I am an EHS person, I want to come and visit Israel, is it safe as far as EMF is concerned? How about Safat, Rosh Pina, the main cities? Are they smart meters? Do rented cars have wireless devices in them? A -Safat is not too good. Main cities are a disaster with so many cell towers. Rosh pina is my favorite place up north. Not that it is free of EMF/RF, but the only houses there have very thick walls and nothing gets through. The windows can be protected. All hotels and zimers have WIFI, but in some, you can ask for a room without. The roads are also problematic with a cell tower every 200-1000 meters. Coming with a meter and some protection is a must. Also with Personal RF Protection (Hats, clothes, fabrics… please see www.4EHSByEHS.com. In most cases, you can use Google street to look around if you have the address (also in English). In most cases, you can use the Israeli cell tower map (or ask me to use it for you at norad4u@gmail.com). This is the Israeli antenna map (in Hebrew) – https://www.govmap.gov.il/?c=177332.34,664218.31&z=6&lay=CELL_ACTIVE,ANTENA_HAKAMA There are “only” water smart meters in most of Israel (short-week RF burst every 30 seconds). In some of the kibbutz in Israel, there are also wireless electric smart meters that radiates all or most of the time. Regarding cars – You will need to go one by one and make sure there is no Bluetooth or other wireless devices inside. You should be able to find the Bluetooth device and disconnect it from the power supply. You should be able to turn off the wireless function of the audio system if exists. Most rent cars have “Pointer” or “Etoran” car location and security management systems that have GPRS (2G cellular modems) installed in them. I would call an agency by agency and ask for a car without one I hope this helps amirb |
How to connect my iPhone to a iMac or network?
How to connect my android to a USB or network?
posted Apr 27, 2018, 9:44 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Jul 1, 2018, 11:33 AM ]
Question – How can I connect that android smartphone to the internet without using the data connection and getting so much radiation all the time? Answer: You can do it via 2 pathways: 1. Connect the smartphone via the micro USB to the PC which is weirdly connected to the internet. Video: https://youtu.be/PQNAicZ0980 https://youtu.be/5XgbKGEvWZs Info https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/73168/how-to-use-pcs-internet-on-android-phone-through-usb-cable https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-share-internet-from-a-PC-via-a-USB-cable-to-an-Android-phone http://www.dummies.com/consumer-electronics/smartphones/droid/how-to-tether-an-internet-connection-with-an-android-phone/ 2. Connect the smartphone via a MicroUSB to Network card, directly to your router. This will work in the newer Android version ( Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 or higher ) and with selected smartphone models Supported phone list – https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71pxJoWmzlL.pdf Order item – https://amzn.to/2Nb90QB USB-C adapters – https://amzn.to/32h42yn https://amzn.to/3SWxVs3, https://amzn.to/3FyWtUM More info – http://www.wirelesshack.org/how-to-connect-a-android-to-wired-ethernet-connection.html Calls and SMS: When you achieve this you will be able to use apps on the iPhone including WhatsApp. For SMS and call you need to setup a virtual phone number and use an app on the phone. For Calls only you can setup a “call forward” from the cell number to a hard-line number while the phone is not reachable. |

I am hoping to get someone to take some readings in my apartment
posted Feb 10, 2018, 11:28 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Feb 10, 2018, 11:29 AM ]
Q – I have had increasing problems with my apartment in San Francisco. Radio antennas, T-mobile, MUNI, transformers, AT&T towers…. I gave up having a tv and even a landline. All my electronics seem to be affected. My health is suffering.. sore throat, pressure in eyes, buzzing in elbows, bone loss, digestive trouble, headache, tinnitus… Symptoms go away if I leave town. I wake up each morning with a headache, jaw clenched, fist clenched, extreme pressure in my eyes, constant white noise. I am hoping to get someone to take some readings in my apartment and make some recommendations as to what I might be able to do to protect further health problems from the conflagulatin of dirty electric in my apartment location. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for your time A – Hello I am located in Israel. What I can recommend to you is to get an EMF meter and do the measuring yourself. It would be hard finding professional EMF testers that understand the possible health risk from day to day exposure to low-level EMF radiation. I recommend to learn, measure, reduce and protect. The first thing you need to do (which I guess you already did) is to remove any wireless devices from the house and stop the use of cellphones. The second thing is to get an EMF meter, both for RF and ELF and to start measuring the house. Find sources in the house, remove any RF emitting devices, keep safety distance from ELF emitting devices. Then use the meter to find RF penetration point into the house. Then use RF protection to block the RF from entering the house. Another thing I would do right away is to find out which electric and gas meters you have and where they are installed. If you have a smart RF radiating meter on your house I would try to not stay or sleep near it, try to use RF protection against it (to block the RFR from coming into the house) and would try to opt-out. What is the possible EMF from an adjustable electric motion bed
posted Jan 10, 2018, 11:52 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Questions – Please can you tell me about the possible EMF from an adjustable electric motion bed? I cannot seem to find anything, CANADA 10/01/2018 Answer – I don’t recommend the use of electric beds, mattresses, and beds with metal parts in it. HelloElectric bed usually has a power converter, a small electric engine, and an electronic control unit. All emit ELF magnetic fields. The power converter usually emits the ELF magnetic field all the time it is connected to the power network. So the ELF fields on the bed are there night and day. In order to remove the ELF fields, you need to unplug the bed from the electricity network. In measurements I did I saw ELF magnetic fields of up to 40mG on the mattress. In general, I recommend not to use an electric bed at all. I also recommend no to use electric blanket when slipping (before is OK as long as you unplug it when laying on it)I also recommend to use a bed that have no metal parts (or as less as possible) and a metress without metal springs in it, since most metal wires and long parts become passive Radio Frequency(RF) antenna when around RF radiation. Please see my site for videos and explanations: I hope this info helps. Thanks and best regards Amir Borenstein |
Good WIFI and Bad WIFI
posted Nov 21, 2017, 9:50 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Jan 10, 2018, 11:40 AM ]
Q – Hi Amir, Hope you are doing fantastically well. Just wanted to say thank you for all your help. The Gabba is really helping me and so are the emf cloths i have been using while traveling. I have one quick question for you… The last three places I lived had wifi and it didn’t bother me. Currently, where I’m at.. It really does. Is there a bandwidth/setting that is less powerful than others …. And that could be the reason why? I don’t have the option of going wired…. I truly appreciate your help. Best, L. 😉 USA 21/11/2017) A – Hello L. In order to understand why you react to one house with WIFI and not to another house with WIFI, you need to try and understand what systems are deployed and installed in these houses. For example, there are WIFI routers with only 2.4GHz band, and others with both 2.4 and 5GHz bands. For example, there are WIFI routers with external antennas that have more “strength” and routers with internal antennas. It is possible that in one house there are “WIFI extenders” deployed, and another house with only one router. It is possible that in one house you have a WIFI device next to you and in another house, the closest WIFI device is far away. Use your RF meter to search the house for WIFI devices and other wireless/cellular devices in order to try and understand why you react in one house and not in the other. In addition, going wired should be your primary priority. If you have not a choice but to use WIFI, try to use an external WIFI network card with an 5-10 meter powered USB cable, and move the device away from you Like this: WIFI – http://amzn.to/2z5BX9o http://amzn.to/2zUmPig http://amzn.to/2iCIJgF USB cable –http://amzn.to/2iA7qtW http://amzn.to/2hPL9eK All the best Amirb |
Good and bad grounding
posted Mar 10, 2017, 11:51 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Apr 28, 2018, 9:28 AM ]
Question – How to create a good grounding system for all my protection? Is it OK to use the electric ground? Answer – I recommend not to use the electric ground on the electric socket but to a special pole outside. It usually has some micro-currents on it. If you connect your grounding to it, the currents might end up on your protection. If you touch it, the currents might find their way onto your skin and nerves system. Lots of people think about grounding as an ON/OFF 1-0 thing, you either ground or not. While from my experience it is really a very complicated issue. The Electric ground usually has some small currents and low voltage on it (noise) and in some cases, even the pole in the earth backyard will have some stray currents. This is why I always try to figure out if the ground is good or not. A bad grounding will not only cause problems while grounding ELF/RF protection to it, or when connecting grounding mats, it might even pose a real problem just for living in that house. I must say that I haven’t created the grounding thin yet, I just have best practice: I recommend to use a grounding pole and insert it to the real ground on your back yard. If possible make sure the dirt there is always wet. Then connect your grounding mats and protection to this pole. Make sure you follow the following Best practices. Best practice for creating a good grounding: 1. Make the grounding cords as short as possible. 2. Have as little as possible connections points between the protection to the pole. 3. Make sure the connections are as strong as possible (lots of contacts). 4. The impedance should be as low as possible (lower than 1 Ohm is recommended). 5. Ground all connection to a grounding pole on the yard.6. Don’t connect to the house electric ground. How to test your grounding quality: 1. Test for electric current (only if you know how) or ELF Magnetic field around ground wires and water pipes, if you see a field there, there is some ground current, and the grounding is bad. 2. In case that an ELF electric field meter shows higher levels when you extend your arm to grab it (when you are grounded or not), there is either a grounding issue in the electric system or some source of the field around you. 3. If you touch the taps or water pipes, or the grounding, and feel some electric shock, usually when walking barefoot, in most cases there is some grounding issue. 4. Test the grounding for noises using a scope. Make sure it is clean. test between the ground and the neutral, between 2 poles in the ground 2 meters apart, between the ground and the water pipes. |
Smartwatch makes me feel bad

Q – Hello – I brought a 3G enabled smartwatch in which I could place my phone SIM card inside. It was an Android 4.0 smartwatch. Within 1 day I felt a heat through my wrist – even though the watch was cold and with the screen off most of the time. By day 2 I had to take it off as I felt as if I had sunburn right through my wrist and it took 3 days for the discomfort to go. I made a disk 6 layers thick of tin foil and put that under the watch and wore it again and it was fine. Has anyone attempted to measure the radiofrequency radiation of these 3G enabled smartwatches coming out of China? Do you sell any shielding for smartwatches? Many thanks. A – Hello My recommendation is to stop using the watch. smartwatch, with or without 3G inside, emit RF radiation. There is no shielding for that, just stop using it. Which cell phone do you use, and what is SAR?
posted Jan 13, 2017, 6:58 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Jan 13, 2017, 7:07 PM ]
Q- Which cell phone do you use, and what is SAR? A– Hello 1. I don’t use a cellphone on a daily basis. I do have an old 3G (UMTS/WCDMA) phone for emergencies which I use once or twice a month (with air tube earpiece) and a car phone with the antenna on the external side of the windshield. The reason is that every cellphone, even “low” SAR phones, emits RF and ELF levels that are too much for me and cause me pain after few seconds. 2. SAR is a measurement Technics that serves the need of the wireless industries to show as if the phones are tested and found to be safe. In reality, it is based only on thermal damage and is not relevant to any biological damage what so ever. 3. a phone with a low SAR level, with not necessary radiates less than a phone with high SAR level 4. There are other parameters that affect the levels of emission from each phone in each and every situation, such as reception, the setting of the phone, way of using it, technical parameters and other variables. About the SAR please see – http://norad4u.blogspot.co.il/2013/03/why-sar-standard-is-not-relevant.html About how to use a cellphone while reducing exposure see – https://www.norad4u.com/emr-reduction/using-the-mobile-phone |
Are CRT worse than LCD or LED?
posted Oct 15, 2016, 9:06 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Oct 15, 2016, 9:56 PM ]
Q – Hi “NoRad” I’m interested in your view of CRT TV sets. Is the radiation from those, compare to a LCD display, worse? I’ve read of people that don´t feel bad from CRT but do feel from LCD, even though the CRT naturally uses higher power.Do you have any experience in this? Thanks A – Hello Yes, CRT have much more ELF magnetic and electric fields than LCD display. In addition you can even find LCD/LED displays with external power supply, making the ELF emission even lower. Some people might be OK with CRT (from some distance) but feel bad from LCD or LED display because of one of the following reasons: 1. Blue light emitted from the screen (fix – change the color scheme so there will be less blue light). 2. Mid frequency EMF emitted from the screen (fix – use a LCD/LED screen protection).3. RF radiation emitted from the screen in case it is wireless (fix – test before buy, make sure your screen is not wireless, or find a way to turn off the wireless functions). 4. Dirty Electricity created by the screen (fix – use DR filters) 5. Light flicker (fix set brightness to 100% in LED screen)I hope this cover all. All the bestamirb In the picture – PC’s LCD screens |
ELF Magnetic Field Protection
posted Jun 22, 2016, 1:58 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Q – We live by large power lines. Is there something I can buy to re-direct the magnetic field away from our house? A – Hello If I was you I would get and EMF meter to map the house and find out if there is a problem and what is the source. In addition to an outside power line, the ELF magnetic field can be generated by bad wiring, grounding problems, electric equipment and so on. After knowing what the source is we can try to reduce exposure. In case that the ELF magnetic field is coming from the street -outside, there is very little that can be done. You can change the placement of furniture so that people will be less exposed. How to find a low EMF, EHS friendly holiday accommodation?
posted Apr 28, 2016, 9:52 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Oct 1, 2016, 11:21 AM ]
Q – Hi, I’m ehs and I am desperately trying to find holiday accommodation with no WiFi. There doesn’t seem to be any website offering this service. Apart from the Victoria refuge site which has 6 listing’s all in Vic it tas. There must be many places available but all list ‘free wifi’. I wish people would get over the WiFi thing. Any help would be very appreciated. Sincerely L – Australia A – Hello I am also an EHS person. I have no info about a database for EHS friendly hotels. I can’t sustain high levels, and try to be in levels that are lower than 0.005mW/m2 (if possible even less than 0.0005mW/m2). When I travel, I take with me the EMF meter (CORNET ED78 or ED88T are recommended) and some cheap temp RF Protection (like Mylar). I search for a place that has no view of a cellphone tower, no cellular towers on top or around. I use google street view, and local cellular tower maps to search for it. Then I call the place and ask them if they have WIFI and where the routers are placed (routers are in the rooms or just at the lobby). I also ask if there are micro cellular antennas in the corridor. If possible I ask if there is a vacancy to a room as far as possible from the nearest router, access point or cellular microcell antenna. I get to the place and test for radiation. I use mylar protection if needed. If all good I recommend to others. In addition, I looked at TripAdvisor and there seem to be some people that report EHS/EMF issues in hotels they visit, like this one -https://www.tripadvisor.com/members/trevmarI think it is a great idea, I hope many more will follow. For example, this is the “club in hotel” in Eilat, Israel (wifi only at the reception), some of the inear rooms are out of sight of cellphone mast – https://youtu.be/kW9LZq-Rc9A https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293980-d319644-Reviews-Club_In_Eilat-Eilat_Southern_District.html Another example is the Dor beach resort, in Israel (wifi in the reception), cellphone must in the distance, some parts of the beach have very little RF. – https://youtu.be/ZveDW0kKFSshttp://www.dortantura.co.il/?cat=3 WADI ROSH PINA – in the northern part of Israel has very low RF levels after you tern the WIFI off. Video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyUth1gmgT0 In addition please see this site with hotels without WIFI (which is only one of the requirements) – http://hotels-ohne-wlan.com/en/ I hope this info helps. amirb |
Please advise on clothing I can get to help mask the radiation
posted Apr 2, 2016, 11:31 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Apr 2, 2016, 11:32 AM ]
Q -” Hi , i’m extremely radiation sensitive, have battled autoimmune illnesses for years, suddenly realized they all started when I started using computers. Neon lights have always affected me.I’ve hugely cut down on my cellphone and computer usage, cut out the TV (and my illnesses have improved), but there is wifi everywhere, even on buses in the UK. I can’t spend too long trawling through your very comprehensive site as it’s making me feel ill, so please can you advise me on which clothing items I should get to help mask the radiation I can’t avoid? And please can you comment on the lead-lined clothing used by XRay professionals? I have to use my laptop a little bit for banking etc. At present I’m using a shield I made out of tinfoil, I don’t know if it helps at al., perhaps a little. I have in the past bought supposedly EMR blocking devices from 0000000 but they didn’t work at all so I sent them back.I’m currently trying to find accommodation with no wifi but it’s very difficult, and something that protects me would obviously be good. Kind regards” A – Hello and thanks for your email. I would suggest to do the following: 1. Watch my original video lectures, they are not long, and it might be easier to watch than to read the text- https://www.norad4u.com/video/original-video-lectures-about-emf-and-ehs/ 2. If you don’t have an EMF meter yet, get one, I recommend the New CORNET ED88T. It will allow you to measure the RF/ELF-magnetic and EMF electric levels in your house, find RF sources and remove then, find ELF sources and keep safety distance from them, find RF penetration points and us RF protection to block them. 3. RF Protection Clothes – This is the link to our product line – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/protection-clothes I suggest starting with a hat or lining – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/protection-clothes/rf-protection-hat for example this one – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/protection-clothes/rf-protection-hat/emf-rf-protection-lining-for-hats-1 4. PC arrangement – make sure your computer is completely wired. arrange it in such a way that the computer, modem, router, and other parts are as far as possible away from you. Use a wired keyboard, mouse, and screen (if possible with an external power supply). For the screen, you can use our cheap screen protection – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/rf-protection/LED-LCD-screen-protection-film 5. Step by step – do the steps above and try to see if there is an improvement after each step.6. lead-lined clothing – will not work for RF or ELF. Do you know anything about Tinnitus?
posted Mar 27, 2016, 1:28 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Mar 28, 2016, 11:26 PM ]
Answer: I am not a doctor, these are just guesses. Tinnitus is a common symptom of EHS people. I also suffer from it. There are several types, I think those which are related to EHS or EMF are more of the sensitivity of the inner hear issue. There is the high pitch noise, the law pitch noise and the supper hearing issues. I think the higher pitch noise is caused by ELF exposure, the low pitch noise from RF exposure and the supper hearing is caused because of an inflammatory situation in the inner heat because of exposure to EMF in general. If the tinnitus keeps me from sleeping I put some music on, or turn the fan or AC on. Other sounds make it less noticeable. Other than that I try to be as less exposed as possible. all the best amirb |

PC mouse, keyboard and cellphone make me sick!
posted Mar 11, 2016, 12:20 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Q – Hi, please can you help me with my EMF sensitivity, I have really gone sensitive to emf from my computer mouse and mobile, it causes me pain in my fingers, hand all the way to my elbow, they swell and burn. I have tried all sorts of different fabrics and gloves and nothing works. Can you please advise me what I could cover my mouse with or any gloves that would block the emf’s, I’m really getting desperate. Hopefully Regards A. UK- 03/2016 A – Hello I am sorry to hear about your EHS condition, I hope you manage to reduce the symptoms soon. I assume you already reduced your exposure in every possible way. If you still use a wireless mouse , keyboard, computer or other wireless equipment I suggest you first try to replace them with wired. My recommendation is to stop using any wireless devices including mobile phones , wireless PC, WIFI routers and others. Cellphone I believe that EHS people should use cellphones only in extreme emergencies. If in need, put the cell phone on a desk and use the speakerphone option or a wired earpiece. Put as much distance between you and the phone. Turn off all 4g/3g Data , WIFI, and Bluetooth in order to reduce the emission over time and frequency. Please see – https://www.norad4u.com/emr-reduction/using-the-mobile-phone Mouse and keyboard If you are using a wired mouse and keyboard please not that the wired mouse and keyboard still emit some levels of ELF Magnetic and Electric fields to which you might react. It is much lower than the RF radiation emitted from wireless mouse or keyboard but some people still react to it. My recommendation is to try several wired mouse and keyboard and to chose these that affect you the least. In addition, you can try and use a “voice to text” software or “camera mouse” and limit the time you use the keyboard and mouse. Please see:”voice to text” – http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dictate-text-speech-recognition#1TC=windows-7 “camera mouse” – http://www.cameramouse.org/downloads.html Reduce exposure from PC and laptops – https://www.norad4u.com/emr-reduction/using-pcs-and-laptops Other steps In addition to that, I recommend getting an EMF meter and testing the house for RF and ELF. Find the RF sources and remove them. Find the ELF sources and keep safety distance from them. Find the RF penetration points and block them. Use the meter again and again until you manage to reduce your exposure and symptoms Please see: 1. the 4 steps program – https://www.norad4u.com/guides/no-rads-4-steps-program/ 2. Q – I am an EHS person, the wired phone makes me sick. While I am on it I feel a strange headache after few minutes. What can be the cause and how to reduce the symptoms? A – Hello I am sorry to hear about your condition, I hope you manage to reduce the symptoms soon. Every wired phone has a small speaker in the headset. The speaker emit some levels of ELF Magnetic and Electric fields to which you might react. You can use a speakerphone option if possible. I feel strange when holding the CORNET ED15 meter
posted Feb 25, 2016, 11:59 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Feb 3, 2018, 12:03 AM ]
Q – I purchased a Cornet ED 15. I returned it because the display was too jarring/disturbing for me visually, but also because I seemed to get EHS symptoms from the meter. Do you think it’s possible that I reacted to the 9V battery and would be better of with a meter that runs on AA? I have a Trifield XE100 that I have no trouble using. A – Both TRI FIELD 100XE and CORNET ED15 and ED78 and ED88T have a 9V battery. The difference is that the TRI FIELD 100XE is analog and the ED15/78/88 are all digital and have a circuit board with digital electronic (chips). So my guess is that you reacted to EMI (mid-frequency) electric fields. I still suggest to get a ED88T so you will be able to see the RF radiation which the TRI FIELD 100XE don’t show. You can use it with a universal phone holder – like this one – http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Car-Windshield-Mount-Holder-Cradle-Stand-Bracket-For-Mobile-Cell-Phone-/231746947358?hash=item35f531c91e:g:f2kAAOSwT5tWQBVh Or http://amzn.to/2DXCegR http://amzn.to/2DYTxCr http://amzn.to/2EcVPx4 http://amzn.to/2EAbp3B You can also use a selfie stick:http://amzn.to/2GFu0M2 http://amzn.to/2GGAdaR http://amzn.to/2GFtKN4 http://amzn.to/2DWhavs http://amzn.to/2GHPec lhttp://amzn.to/2EAc2Kv These Universal phone holder can be used by EHS people to hold the EMF meter without touching it as some EHS will react to the EMI and electric fields emitted by the EMF meter. |
Why RF meter show only part of the RF radiation?
posted Feb 1, 2016, 3:49 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Feb 25, 2016, 10:42 PM ]
Q – Have a query please regarding comment about the ED88T meter on website in the limitations section which says, “Will show only part of the RF level when measuring multi frequency sources, or several source at once (like most RF meters).” To clarify, does this mean if your lounge or bedroom that is actually receiving radiation from three or even four neighbors in different directions, each neighbor in turn likely having multiple sources such as wifi, DECT and numerous other Bluetooth or wireless devices such as iPod docking bases, internet TV and wireless printers etc, all of which the majority of neighbors may now have) the meter would not pick up the sum total of all of that radiation from all of those devices of all of your nearby neighbors, but only whichever single frequency is most predominant in whatever room you are measuring in? (If this is how the meters work, then the combined total of so many lesser amount frequencies from so many sources and directions could seemingly be quite astronomical? For instance if there was wifi router radiation coming in at 2.45GHz at a level of 1.9 V/M but also something radiating at 5.8GHz but at 1.0V/M would it only read the 2.45GHz and give level for that and fail to capture the 5.8GHz and/or any other combined frequencies present at lower levels than the 2.45GHz?) I think I read this somewhere before on a website about meters but not sure if that is what the person meant. Thank you for your clarification. Best wishes, H. P.S. If it is as stated above, are there any meters that do read the sum combined total of all of the different frequencies present in any spot in a room that you are measuring? —————————————————————————————————————– A- Hello Lets start at the end – To my understanding there are no meters today , that can measure the sum combined total. The CORNET ED78S and the CORNET ED88T does a very nice job, while taking into consideration the limitation. Now for the long explanation: RF radiation measuring is very complexes. The accumulation has to be done over different frequencies, over the display time (in this meter 0.5 seconds) and over the number of sampled (in this meter 3500 every half a second). Even the geographical position of the meter influence the measurement. There are so many variables, I will try to explain the most important. Sampling rate and Calculation of the leveled displayed: Then what meters is the way you calculate the level you display, in this meter the displayed value is the highest peak that was found over half a second (most meters sample much less, profession meter usually sample less than 10 times each second). If there was a higher peak during this half a second which the meter did not pick up in one of his 3500 samples, this will be missed and will not affect the measurement or displayed value. Geographical location of the meter On the geographical level, if the meter is in between 2 sources that emit in the same time and the same level and the same frequency in the direction of the meter, most meters will show less than the 2 combined levels, usually even lower than one of the emission. But the human body would be affected by both. Measuring different frequencies at the same time This meter is a broadband meter which means it is influenced by a wide range of frequencies. But there are a lot of technical issue and limitation that makes it very hard to same all of them up in a linear way. Accuracy is not the full story As strange as it may sound, I think that the accuracy of a meter is the least important factor. The most important factor is the sampling rate. The second is the way that the info is calculated and presented. Therefore, according to my perception, the CORNET ED78S and the CORNET ED88T are the best home use meters on the market today. I think that a meter should be used to scan the house, walls, windows, floor and ceiling in order to find EMF sources and penetration point. Later on it should be used to understand what emit which type of EMF, when and why (so you can reduce your exposure). The CORNET’s meters are great for that. I hope this info helps amirb |

What do I need an EMF meter for if I am an EHS person
posted Jan 6, 2016, 10:07 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Jan 7, 2016, 9:16 AM ]
Q- What for do I need an EMF meter if I am an EHS person, I can feel the radiation right away. A- I think this assumption is one of the biggest mistakes EHS people do. I think that in today’s world every person, especially an EHS person, needs an EMF meter. This has nothing to do with the fact we do sell EMF meters. If only we can do without, but we can’t If we EHS people would be able to detect the RF and ELF levels and sources all the time, every time and in every location, we would be able to do without a meter. We would be able to find and remove any RF sources, keep safety distance from the ELF source, and block every RF radiation from coming into the house or workplace. The problem is that we can’t. EHS people can scene the EMF, to some extent, and will feel bad when around EMF radiation. But we are not able to objectively know the levels, direction, sources or find the penetration points of EMF. On the other hand, a meter operated by a person will be able to do that. EHS people do feel bad when surrounded by EMF, but most EHS people will feel very back, very soon, and will not be able to detect or debug the EMF for long. Their feeling is subjective and Pretty soon they will just feel so bad that they will not be able to do anything. Not every EHS reacts to all types of EMF In addition not, every EHS people react the same to every type of EMF. For some, it will take time to react to some types of EMF, and when they will react to it they will not be in a condition to understand what is going on. It is important to understand that for EHS person every exposure is not recommended, even in cases he/she is not affected by right away. If an EHS person will keep on exposing himself/herself to EMF, that for now he/she does not react to, there is a big chance he/she will eventually be sensitive also to that type of EMF. An EMF meter will be able to show you EMF types you are not sensitive to (yet) so you will be able to limit and reduce your exposure to it. EHS observations are subjective, the meter is objective (right away and every time) An EMF meter allows you to objectively know the levels, find the sources, find safety distances from ELF sources, find penetration points of EMF into your house or office, see it and when protection is working, and find out ways to use your electronic devices in a way that will be the less problematic. With a meter, you know right away, every time. You don’t have to wait for your body to react and you can keep on testing even if you already feel too bad to notice any change in the EMF levels or condition. “I can do without” Many EHS people I meet think they can do without an EMF meter. Usually, these people come back half a year, after their condition has become worse. “It is too expensive!” Some people(including EHS people) think the meter is too expensive. This is while they keep on buying new smartphones (that are a big contributor to their EHS condition) that cost hundreds of $, and while keep paying the cell phone provider lots of money every month. “I do not want to buy a meter since this means I have a problem” Some EHS people (more than you would think) tells me they don’t want a meter because this means they have a problem, that they are EHS people. They do not want to recognize their EHS condition and think that buying a meter will mark them in their own mind as “I have a problem”. I think that this approach is irrational, not logical and can lead to worsening of their EHS condition. Avoiding a problem is not going to make it better, getting tools to deal with it might improve things. For more info about EMF meter, please see our EMF meter page (press here) Currently(10/2019) the most recommended EMF meter for home use is the CORNET ED88TPLUS |
WIFI signal from a laptop when WIFI is turned OFF?

Q – I have a laptop from 2009. When it has 10.6.8 installed, it appears that it does not cause me problems. BUT, when it has 10.8+ installed, it appears that it is trying to contact a wifi station or a cell tower and I can’t sleep in the same building with it.. I have no WIFI at home and the laptops’ is connected via an internet cable, is this possible? A – I suspect that what happens to you is that you feel the PC looking for WIFI networks, or other wireless networks, even when the WIFI is OFF. This happened to me before. Some operation systems do that, In addition, there are some applications and programs that do that. Please see this video that I took a few years back when it happened to me. https://youtu.be/vZCYdNSX6l0 The way to stop this from happening is to disable the wireless hardware from the device driver (in WIN-XP, WIN7, WIN8, WIN10, not sure how to to it on OS). Maybe your friend will know. I do recommend getting an EMF(ELF+RF) meter, so you will be able “see” the radiation, to find all the sources, understand when, why and what they are emitting, manage them so that they will not, check and verify they don’t emit RF any more, and also find the penetration points of the RF to your house and block then. Please see more info about the EMF meter- https://www.norad4u.com/measure/home-use-emf-emr-elf-rf-meters-and-detectors/cornet-ed88tplus-emf-rf-elf-m-elf-m-meter/ I hope this info helps.amirb In the picture – Disable the WIF card from the Device Driver |
How and Why to ground my RF Protection
posted Nov 7, 2014, 7:28 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Nov 7, 2014, 7:30 PM ]
A – As far as grounding of RF protection goes, it helps to reduce the static charge and ELF electric fields from the protective surface. In cases that the RF radiation is strong, the grounding might also improve the ability of the protection used to block the RF radiation. In some cases, it would be impossible for us grounding, especially in curtains, canopies. In most cases, RF protection will help also without grounding. The proper grounding will be to the real earth outside after you test there are no ground micro currents and after making sure that the grounding is good. I don’t recommend using the house electric ground since most of the time it is not a “clean” ground. My best advice on this issue is to call a professional EMF grounding expert. My neighbor constantly bombarding me with radio signal

Q – I have a problem with my neighbor constantly bombarding me with some form of a radio signal that cannot be blocked by earplugs but sends me whistling noises all day long. Can you tell me which meter I should buy and how would I pinpoint the sender? If you know what sort of electronic equipment would be able to transmit these waves could you let me know as the local people don’t seem to think that it can be done? regards. A- All wireless equipment that you or your neighbor use can be the source of that RF radiation. Please see – https://www.norad4u.com/knowledge/emr-sources-by-frequency#TOC-High-frequencies: If the sources are inside your house, you just need to turn them off. If the sources are outside the house, you need to use RF protection to block it from coming into your house.https://www.norad4u.com/emr-protection/rf-protection The way to pin-point the penetration point to your house (and also the source inside your house) is by using an EMF meter. I recommend the CORNET ED78S – https://www.norad4u.com/monitor/home-emr-meters/cornet-ed78 (or the newer-better CORNET ED88T)This meter can measure both RF and ELF fields. When you will have the meter you will be able to scan the house for sources and the walls and windows for penetration points. For more info about how to measure the EMF radiation and find the sources please see at – https://www.norad4u.com/measure/emf-measurements-in-details/ I hope this info helps. Amirb (see pictures below) Step 1 – find and remove all wireless devices Step 2 – scan the walls and windows, with an EMF meter, for RF/ELF penetration points Step 3 uses RF Blocking material to block the RF coming into your house. Long-distance travel, the transport/ method of choice for EHS?
posted Oct 18, 2014, 12:11 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Mar 15, 2017, 9:55 AM ]
Q – Can I also ask you personally your approach to long-distance travel, the transport/ method of choice for EHS? A – Regarding long-distance traveling, as a moderate EHS, I can’t travel by plans, ship, train or bus. The only way I can still travel is by a car while using RF protection (Hats, Jackets, and poncho). I also consider putting RF blocking windows’ film on the car windows but still did not get to do it yet. For EHS, the only way I think is reasonable for long-distance travel is by plane. Not because is it has no EMF, it has a lot of EMF, but because the flight is short. I recommend trying to get a flight without WIFI and asking to sit as far away as possible from other people who use their electronic devices during the flight. In addition, it is recommended to build up your EMF resistance by not being exposed to EMF for a few days-weeks before the flight and taking your food supplements a few days before the flight. I don’t recommend to fly alone. Someone should be there with you in order to help you cope with the symptoms, other people and the procedures (it is hard when you have brain fog and headaches). You should also consider personal protection and clothes and ask not to pass via the X-Ray/RF security scanners. The flight: 1. Stay away from long lines, and keep a safe distance from people with cellphones and wireless devices. 2. When boarding the plane, wait next to the line for the last moment so you will be as less time on the plane when everyone sends his last text message or phone call. 3. Chose a flight without WIFI. Most flights today have WIFI. *In some flights WIFI is free – they are the worse because everyone is using it. *In some the WIFI access cost extra – this is better since fewer people use it. *In some, there is no WIFI, usually LOW-COST FLIGHTS. In these flights, people will still have a transmitting smartphone, earphones, and smartwatches but at least they won’t stream video onto their smart phones. 4. If possible ask to sit away from other people. 5. ask not to pass via X-RAY/RF-based security tests/screening. Ask to be tested manually. 6. In the airport, try to stay away from the windows (RF from radar and communication systems is coming in). 7. If needed use RF Protection in the plan. 8. Take food supplements (GABA+Anti oxidants before, and after the flight see more info – https://www.norad4u.com/emf-sources/emr-emf-sources-in-public-transportation/#Air_Plans In the Hotel: 1. Chose a hotel that does not have a cell tower on top or next to it. 2. Take your EMF meter with you, test for RF and ELF in the hotel room. 3. Take mylar blankets with you, in case you need temp protection for RF on the windows and walls. |
What is the sound feedback feature in RF meters?
posted Oct 17, 2014, 5:39 PM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Oct 30, 2014, 12:22 AM ]
Q – What is the sound feedback feature in RF meters? A – The sound function of most RF meters that have it is based on turning the modulation of the signal (the number of times it starts and ends) to sound. Every RF signal has a special sound fingerprint, which the meter can help you hear and you can identify (after some practice). In addition, the CORNET ED78S has an alarm feature that can be set to 0,-5,-10,-15 and-20 dbm. When the RF level will accede the levels set the alarm will go off. |
We live 70 meters from a cell antenna cluster, how to protect?
posted Aug 20, 2014, 2:08 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Q – Hi, My wife is EHS, we live 70 meters from a 10 cell cluster on the top of a low (3 story) building. We have measured activity with the accoustimeter and had readings that pulse off the top of the scale sometimes, but are OK at others. I was wondering about the use of a shielding fabric (as a sleeping bag cover as a start) would be likely sufficient to provide relief. My wife wakes about 3 am every night and talks of the towers “streaming” so she feels “zapped” (her words) and is very sleep deprived. We have considered moving but would like to defend until we can move. Any suggestions to help this would be most appreciated. What is a way to “try” a small bit to see what likely works as there is a lot of stuff you can try and find it doesn’t (wasting time and money). Finally, what a great site and resource, you have done a tremendous job and are doing a great service. I salute you. A – Hello, I am sorry to hear that you are living next to a cell cluster and that your wife suffers from EHS.Thanks for the nice words about my site. Please let me know if I can use your nice words on this page on my site – https://www.norad4u.com/home/thank-you-letters Measurement: I recommend using your acoustimeter to measure the house and search for RF penetration points. Most probably the windows will allow most of the RF radiation in and they should be the first step of protection. RF protection: RF protection should be done in layers, from the outside in. The second principle would be to move from cheap to more expensive protection. You can install RF protection windows’ film on the windows, or use curtains from RF blocking net fabric. Curtains can be moved also to your new apartment. After you manage to reduce the RF levels inside the apartment using windows’ protection (measure the RF levels inside the apartment to verify this) you can try Canopies from RF blocking fabric. The canopy might help even if you don’t use RF protection on the windows, but it is more logical to first block the RF from coming into your house. If the walls also let the RF in, you need to consider also using wall protection (RF blocking paint for external walls, and wallpapers for internal walls). A sleeping bag from RF blocking fabric might also work, but again, it is more logical to protect the windows first, if possible. On the other hand, a sleeping bag might be cheaper than windows protection or a canopy. Some people also use the SHEILDON 240 fabric as a blanket – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/rf-blocking-fabrics/shieldon-240. A piece of 1.5X2 meters should be enough for a single blanket. I also use a Hat with RF blocking fabric inside the house to protect myself from RF that menage to penetrate the RF protection I have. In addition, you can order Mylar material as a temp RF blocking material for the windows, please see – https://www.norad4u.com/buy-emf-products/emergencymylarthermalblanketspackof10You can find it also on eBay. Reminder: When using RF protection, go from the outside in and from the cheap to the more expensive. Please note that for EHS people even a very low level of EMF is too much. amirb |
How to protect from a cell phone tower?
posted Aug 16, 2014, 11:15 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Q – Three of our family having difficulties in living a normal life—we believe it is due to cell phone tower placed within 150 feet of our homes – can this be possible – no one here wants to help us – would appreciate any help you can give. A – I recommend my “4 step program” which will allow you to improve your condition. The program is based on know what EMF is, measure it, reduce use and exposure and when there is no other option, to use EMF protection materials in order to block it or absorb it. After learning what EMF and RF are, I recommend buying the CORNET ED78 RF/ELF meter that will allow you to measure the EMF levels in your house, find the RF and ELF sources inside it and the penetration points from outside. Then you will be able to remove the sources away and in case of RF sources such as tablets, WIFI routers, cordless phones, smartphones, and wireless PC stop or minimize the use (up to not using them at all). Then it would be time to use RF protection to block the RF coming from the cellphone towers. You should also check for “smart meters” on or in your house. In most case these operations, if done correctly will help to reduce the symptoms. Please take a look at my EHS page and see if the symptoms you are having are the same as explained in the article – https://www.norad4u.com/ehs. Regarding the RF coming from the cellphone antenna, the first protection step would be to shield the windows using an RF blocking film or/and curtains from RF blocking fabrics. If some RF is also coming from the walls you can paint the outside of the wall (if you have access to it) with RF blocking paint. If you don’t have access to the outside of the wall facing the antenna you can use RF blocking wallpaper on the inside of the wall. More products info is available on my eStore site: Meters – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/emr-meters EMF protection – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/rf-protection I hope this info helps. How to protect my bedroom from a smart meter

Q – The smart meter installed on one of the walls of my bedroom makes it impossible to sleep, what should I do? A – This happens to so many people. I suggest doing the next few steps: 1. Until you solve the issue, please sleep in a different room as far as possible from the smart meter. 2. Check about the “Option Out” program with your local electricity company. 3. Use an RF & ELF meter to measure the RF and ELF and levels caused by the smart meters in the rooms of the house and on the wall it is installed on or next to. Find the “Hot Spots”. 4. Remove the bed and working desk as far as possible from the smart meter. 5. Use RF protection to reduce the RF entering your house. Install the RF protection all over the wall the smart meter is installed on. Sometimes it is needed to protect also other walls or the ceiling. 6. Use ELF protection to reduce the ELF entering your house. See also “How to protect my kid’s bedroom from an electric meter?“ 7. Repeat step #3(RF & ELF measuring) and see if the protection is working and if you managed to reduce the RF and ELF penetration to your house. If needed improve the protection buy changing it or putting a second layer. 8. In case that you still feel the RF transmission consider using RF blocking fabrics (like the SHIELDON240) as a blanket or RF blocking canopies. |

Safe levels from smart meters
posted Nov 7, 2013, 1:39 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Q – I have a Corner ED78S and am having a terrible time trying to determine safe readings as no one offers info on exactly what is and isn’t hazardous. There are 3 smart meters under my office and I need to know if my shielding is effective. Do I use RF, LF, am I looking for high decimal numbers or will the color lights be indication enough? Can you please clarify? Thank you for the terrific website and info, A – Hi Thanks for getting back to be. Thanks for taking the time to read the instructions on my website. You need to measure the RF levels. You need to look at the numbers, the light is just an aid, not a tool. Please see more info regarding the ED78 on this video – http://youtu.be/WSDWVALxnDk LF(actually ELF) levels will exist just feet or two next to the meter.RF levels should be picked up even 10 meters, or more, from a single meter. If you are an EHS person my recommendation is that the meter should show in RF00 mode 0.0005 If you are not an EHS person then 0.04 will be OK for start. Please take a look on the levels page – https://www.norad4u.com/monitor/emf-safety-standards In any case, if you find an RF source try to reduce the exposure from it, either by not using it, moving it away or by RF protection and shielding. The effect of the shielding should be tested next to the shielding, a few feet away and in the places that people spend time next to the source. Regarding RF protection and shielding please take a look (if you haven’t already done that) at – https://www.norad4u.com/emr-protection/rf-protection Safe levels for EHS people on the CORNED ED78 |
How to protect my kid’s bedroom from an electric meter?

Q – I have an Electrical Meter box mounted to the outside wall of the Bedroom where my child sleeps. Do you think my child will be exposed to Low-Frequency Radiation & if so what should I do to stop this from happening & What is the best way to measure any radiation coming through? A – The old electric meters emit ELF(Extreme Low Frequency) EMF and the new digital wireless meters emit also RF radiation, so in order to measure if there is some electromagnetic Fields(EMF) exposure you need to measure both ELF(Extreme Low Frequency) and RF(Radio Frequency) EMF. First step – measurements The first step will be to measure the ELF and RF levels in the bedroom and on the wall where the meter is installed on its other side. You can do it by inviting a specialist to do the measurement or to buy RF+ELF meters and DIY (do it your self). I recommend buying the meters and do the measurements your self. I think that the DIY style road of action is better since you will be able to repeat the test when and where ever you would like. A good meter for ELF EMR is the TRI FIELD 100XE meter, but it can’t measure RF – TRI FIELD 100XE meter. A good meter for RF EMR is the CORNET ED88TPLUS meter, but it’s ELF abilities are not as good as in the TRI FIELD (they are good enough) https://www.norad4u.com/monitor/home-emr-meters/cornet-ed78 Second step – protection If while measuring you will see high levels of RF and/or ELF-EMF protection will be needed.RF protection is relatively easier and ELF protection is much more complected and more expensive. Please see my site for RF protection ( https://www.norad4u.com/emr-protection/rf-protection ) and for ELF protection (https://www.norad4u.com/emr-protection/elf-protection ) You can order most of the items via my selling site – www.4EHSByEHS.com The ELF protection should be big enough to reduce all the ELF fields created by the meter at max power used time. The RF protection should usually be as big as the wall. ELF protection for a smart meter |
Could you kindly suggest how to shield my house?

Q – My main concern at this moment is the wi-fi RF pollution my house is getting from the neighbors and a cell-tower (I can detect 9 different wifi connections from inside my house!!). I disconnected my wifi device, but I would like to find a solution to all these RF signals penetrating my house. A – I suggest you handle the condition in 3 steps. If you are an EHS person please tell me and I will suggest an additional step: Step 1!I suggest you buy an RF/ELF EMR meter and search for the ‘hot sports” on your walls and windows where the RF radiation is entering your house, and also detect other RF and EMR sources inside your house and to replace the RF sources( cellphones, cordless phones, Bluetooth equipment and other wireless devices) with device that do not emit any RF and also to make sure no ELF source is located near people. This is the meter I recommend for first use – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/emr-meters/cornet-ed78sVideo of the meter – http://youtu.be/WSDWVALxnDk Info about EMR reduction – https://www.norad4u.com/emr-reduction Step 2!RF from the cellphone antenna usually comes into the house from the windows. It is easy to protect the windows either by RF blocking film or RF blocking curtains.RF blocking curtains can be made from most types of RF blocking fabrics – http://www.4ehsbyehs.com/rf-blocking-fabrics Step 3!WIFI can also come in via walls. It is very difficult to block 100% of it but you can reduce the levels by using RF blocking paint or RF blocking wallpaper. The wallpaper is more efficient since it also absorbs some of the radiation when the paint mostly reflects it. RF blocking wallpaper RF windows protection |
Can you help Target Individuals?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 1:24 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Feb 19, 2015, 8:35 PM ]
A – I know a bit about electronic attack of TIs (Targeted Individuals), mostly from people who contacted me in the past asking for help. From what they told me, most of the symptoms they have experienced can be linked, connected or caused by Electromagnetic Hyper Sensitivity – EHS condition and EMF exposure. Since most people don’t understand Electromagnetic Radiation, most people don’t know that using cellphones and wireless devices exposes them to RF and ELF on a daily basis, and don’t know that this exposure can lead to health effects and EHS-TI symptoms. Most people that already feel the symptoms, don’t connect the dots and don’t understand that what they experience might actually be an EHS condition or caused by EMF exposure. Most TI that I talked with, use their cellphone, have a wireless PC and router, use wireless devices, and are exposed to RF and ELF daily. Some of them even bought RF protection hats and clothes from my e-store (www.4EHSByEHS.com) but continued to use their wireless and cellphone devices. I believe that a person that will buy personal RF protection clothes and hats but will continue to use wireless and cellphone devices, will not reduce exposure, will not measure his/her house for EMF, and will not block EMF coming from outside the house (or office), as TI sometimes tend to do, will not feel the full effect of the RF personal protection hats an clothes (most of the time will think the protection clothes are not working). My recommendations for TIs are the same as to every EHS person: Do “The 4 steps program” – know, monitor, reduce protect. Following “The 4 steps program” should bring improvement and ease up the symptoms after a while. After doing the first 3 steps (learning about EMR, reduction of the use of wireless devices and measuring the RF levels in his house) a TI person will feel the full benefit of using also personal protection such as RF protection hats, Jackets and pants, and some home protection products such as RF blocking canopies, RF blocking paint, and RF blocking window film. In short: My recommendation for every TI is to buy an RF/ELF meter and measure the EMF (both Radiofrequency and Extreme Low Frequency) radiation in his house, especially in your bedroom. Find all the ELF sources and move them away as much as possible. Find all the RF sources and get rid of them (change with none radiating devices). Find all the RF and ELF penetration points to your house and block them using products such as the products I have on my site. Reduce your use of cellphones and other wireless devices to emergency-only situations. If needed wear clothes and hats from RF blocking fabrics. I believe that most TIs will feel better after doing these steps. amirb |
How to get a low radiation cordless phone in US/CANADA?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 1:23 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad [ updated Jan 24, 2014, 9:46 PM ]
A – First of all please note that there is no such thing as a safe cordless phone, every cordless phone emits Radio Frequency (RF) radiation when using it. DECT phones are the worse as their base station emit RF all the time. Update – 11-2013 – recently it is possible to find real ECO DECT phones in the USA and CANADA. It is not easy to find them. You need to search for a single SIEMENSE GIGAHEARZ phone with ECO DECT and ECO DECT PLUS features. Then you need to test with RF meter to make sure the feature is working. It seems like someone does not want the Americans and Canadians to have low radiation phones. Please see the instructions below that might help you with your search for an ECO DECT phone. Press here to read more info about cordless phones. In the US and Canada, there were no real ECO DECT phones on the market until 2013. Recently I found some ECO DECT phones on the north America SIEMENS web site. I am not sure they are really ECHO DECT, you need to make sure with the suppliers. Please read more at https://www.norad4u.com/emr-reduction/using-cordless-phones#TOC-ECO-DECT-phones-in-USA-CANADA In addition, you can always order from EU or other countries and risk that some of the options will not work in the US or Canada (custom might not release the phone). A second thing you can do is go to several stores and search for cordless phone that does not have the “DECT” logo or technology, then you need to test the phones with an RF meter (like the CORNET ED88TPLUS or even the simple ENV RD10 if you can find it) and make sure the phone base station does not emit RF radiation all the time. In general, some of the old cordless phones, that do not support several handset units and work with 27Mhz, 900MHz, and 2.4GHz may prove to be “low radiation”.Please send me the link to the store so I can take a look and try to guess if the phone in question is not a DECT phone. I am sorry but this is the only way. If you do find such a modal please let me know (norad4u@gmail.com) and I will alert others. |
Does WIFI adjust their transmitting power according to the signal strength
posted Nov 7, 2013, 1:10 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
Q – Do you know if laptops with wifi do adjust their transmitting power according to the signal strength of the router? So, when close to a router, will the output power of the laptop be very low or will it be always the same, no matter what the distance is? A – As far as I know laptops always emit the highest possible signal. In case of any errors, more info will be transmitted again and again which will cause for more exposure in the time and frequency scale. I recommend using a wired PC network if you must use a wireless network (router and PCs) to try to keep as much distance between you, the router and the wireless network card. Why is it so complex to measure RF radiation from cellphones?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 1:06 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
A – Most RF meters actually measure the electric field (in V/m2 units) and then calculate the RF levels (in mW/m2 or uW/cm2).This calculation is possible and correct only if done in the far-field. Therefore if you use an RF meter to measure RF from a cell phone right next to it you will not get the right levels. What you can get is an indication that there is radiation (and this is what I try to show in my videos). In order to measure the RF from a cell phone, you need to measure it in the far-field and then to calculate the levels that are next to the phone. Another may do it is to use electric field meters (I have 2 and in some of the videos I use them). But this is not the end of the story. Cell Phone emits high RF radiation in high frequencies (most of the time more than one frequency) but also low frequency electric and magnetic fields. You need also to measure them and to take them into consideration. Measuring all the levels in all the frequencies emitted by a cellphone is very problematic and very complicated. Do wired (usb, microphone) ear piece emits radiation, compared to a Bluetooth ear piece?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 1:04 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
A – In general wired equipment emit no Radio Frequency (RF) Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR). It may however emit some Low frequencies. When connecting to a cellphone some of the RF EMR may make it way up the wire and to your ear/head. Compared to a Bluetooth earpiece, I would use wired earpiece at any time. Bluetooth emits RF EMR all the time it is coupled with the cellphone (which does the some, emitting RF EMR when coupled with a Bluetooth earpiece. Is it safe to use Power line networks?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 12:59 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
A – Power line networks is a technology in which the PC network is embedded onto the electric power lines inside the house. I think Power line networks technology is much better than WIFI (as far as EMR is concerned) but it produces some Dirty Electricity (low-mid frequency single over the power line). The best thing to do (as far as EMR and speed are concerned) using CAT5 or CAT6 network cable is the best way to go. |
How can I limit my EMR exposure?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 12:57 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
A – Your exposure depends on the levels and time of exposure. In order to limit your exposure, you need to reduce both. Reducing the levels can be done by putting more distance between you and the source (cell phone for example) and by using a device that emits less EMR. In addition, it is very important to limit the use and to minimize your time on the cell phone and around other EMR sources. Please see EMF reduction page on this site. |
Do cellphones emit EMR when in standby mode?
posted Nov 7, 2013, 12:54 AM by Amir Borenstein, No Rad
A – Yes, in the following cases: most cellphones will communicate to the closest base station (antenna) and will report their status once in a while. If you receiver emails or SMS messages to your cellphone, this will result in transmission and emission for several seconds when the messages are received or when the phone sync with the network. If you have a third-generation cellphone or a smartphone and you run applications that access the web, your phone will transmit and receive data from the cellular network and will emit EMR will do that.
