Yoaz Hendel, head of the Israeli communication ministry, will add sections in the next year Omnibus Bills, that will ease the installation of cell towers with less pushback.

It seems that the ministre and it’s professional stuff do not acknowledge the possible health risk from exposure of RF radiation or Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity, and push forward with trying to easy what is left of the regulation over cell phone towers erection.

The new sections will allow the installation of cellphone sites up to 6 meters (seems to apply with industry request to install what is called “small cells”, as in the USA) with no need for building approvals from local administrations.

By this the cellphone industry will be able to overpass some of the approval process on the way to installing a new tower. This will allow the industry and the ministry to advance their vision of 4G and 5G antennas in every street corner or every 50 meters.

The ministry PR effort continues trying to make the cass that more antenna will reduce users exposure (concentrating on the exposure from the device and over locing the radiation emitted from the antennas across the street) and that the only reason that people abject to these antennas is NIMBY.
